Environment Day Celebration at SMES School Mahim



 With global warming affecting the atmosphere, saving our environment has become the need of the hour. Understanding the criticality of the present scenario, it is essential to take crucial steps towards protecting the nature. Every year, 5th of June is celebrated as Environment day globally. This year, SMES CBSE School in Mahim took initiative in making the young buds understand the importance of environment in a fun way.



Being the fastest growing CBSE School, SMES in Mahim is known for the all-round development along with its best-in-class facilities.  The school came up with an innovative theme of connecting the young minds with nature. Drawing and Painting competitions was organized to bring out their affection towards nature.

The students were encouraged to participate in Rangoli Competition where they were expected to represent the nature and they creatively drew their imaginations with great enthusiasm. It was amazing to watch these young buds so keen towards our mother earth. The School Principal, Mrs. Banu Patel, talked about the importance of trees in our life and motivated each child to plant trees.













The Function was then carried forward with various acts and dance performance enlightening upon the significance of plants and trees in our life. The students with the best painting and rangoli were announced the winners and were felicitated with certificates. Each student was gifted with a plant to spread the message of “Plant Trees, Save Mother Earth”
